Short Description:
CIEE Iringa: Fall, Spring, and Full Year programs. Travel around the charming region of Iringa while you explore the challenges facing Tanzania, including sanitation, disease, hunger, poor education, gender inequality, climate change, HIV, water issues, and deforestation, while also having the opportunity to volunteer at local NGOs. While in Dar es Salaam for orientation, students share double, triple, or quad rooms in a hotel. In Iringa, students live in on-campus residence hall rooms segregated by gender at the Ruaha Catholic University. In Mufindi, students live with local families in homestays during the week. And on weekends, they’ll live in NGO-provided volunteer houses with three or four students per room.
