Arcadia STEM Summer Research program in Limerick: Ireland

Arcadia will not be running its  Arcadia STEM Summer Research program in Limerick  program for Summer 2021.  Please check back in 2022!  Program information is provided here as referne for future years.
The Arcadia STEM Summer Research program in Limerick provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to conduct research for 8 weeks in Ireland.  Students can take part in a research project at the University of Limerick, home of the Bernal Institute.
Application requirements:

  • Pitt student in good standing
  • Minimum 2.8 GPA

Cost of the program:  Please check with the provider's website. Please note once you are registered for the program, you will be charged the $300 study abroad fee through the Pitt Pay system. Remember that your lifestyle and spending choices can greatly affect the amount of money you'll need while abroad.  Visit our Budgeting page for more information.

Arcadia Abroad is offering you a $500 scholarship to be applied to your program fee if you submit your application for a Fall 2021 program with Arcadia Abroad by February 1, 2021! Check out more information here

Academic Description: 
Students will earn 6 credits for participating in the program during the summer. The credits are directly related to your research project. It is suggested that you contact your department faculty director to find out how the courses could count for your requirements. All research is conducted in English.

Please first apply to Pitt's website by our deadline.  Then please start your application on the Arcadia website here.The deadline is in late March. 
Students have the opportunity to choose their research projects.  You can review past and future  full list of projects . Typically projets are updated in November.
