CUHK- Chinese University of Hong Kong Summer Research

The Chinese University of Hong Kong Summer Undergraduate Research Programme provides students with the opportunity to conduct research for 8 weeks in Hong Kong. Students are able to choose from a variety of research topics.
Application requirements:

  • Good academic and behavioral standing
  • Must be studying in your second year or higher at the time of application
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA 
  • Please check partner school for additional requirements

Costs for the program can be found on the school's website. Funding through the Swanson School of Engineering might be possible, please watch for research and internship funding information to be sent out to all students via email. Remember that your lifestyle and spending choices can greatly affect the amount of money you'll need while abroad. Visit our Budgeting page for more information.
 

Academic Description
Students are eligible to earn 3 credits for their research at CUHK upon successful completion of the program. If you are seeking academic credit to transfer to the University of Pittsburgh, please consult with your academic advisor. Keep in mind if you want to get academic credit at Pitt additional tuition cost and fees will apply. You must alert Engineering International Programs prior to departure if you plan to transfer credit.

Konnichiwa! After working for the JET program in Japan for just over two years, I decided to pursue a career in international education. I returned to the US via a few months of travel -slowing making my way west with many stops in stunning locations and with amazing people.
