Patricia Crawford is an associate professor in the Department of Teaching, Learning and Leading and serves as the coordinator for the Early Childhood Education MEd and Language, Literacy, and Culture PhD programs. Her academic work is focused on early childhood, children's literature, and teacher education. Dr. Crawford is a former primary grade teacher and has worked with prospective and practicing teachers around the world. She is the editor of Early Childhood Education Journal and has worked with Pitt’s Early Childhood Education Study Abroad in Florence program since 2014.
