Kevin Cecil Study Abroad Scholarship

The Kevin Cecil Study Abroad Scholarship through the Disability Resources and Services office provides students financial assistance for a summer study abroad experience.  Kevin Cecil is a University of Pittsburgh alumnus. Cecil is a member of the disability community.  The Kevin Cecil Study Abroad Scholarship aims to empower persons with disabilities to go abroad and offset the cost.  The scholarship committee hopes that the recipient of the scholarship will increase their knowledge, skills, and awareness around disability in an inclusive education experience.

Each summer, Disability Resources and Services will award two, $1,000 scholarships to eligible students.

To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, both your scholarship application AND your study abroad application must be complete by their respective due dates. Only students with a complete study abroad application will be eligible for consideration. Applications for the Kevin Cecil Study Abroad Scholarship are done through the common Pitt Study Abroad Scholarships application. By submitting one application, you will be considered for an award from various funding sources for which you are eligible, although you can only receive one award per term. Decisions for the scholarship will be sent by February 7, 2020. Please understand that your program will not offer an extended decision period while you wait for scholarship news.
