Learn International offers opportunities for engineering students to work in internships through firms located mainly in Ireland but possibilities exist for placement in the UK, Belgium and Spain as well. Students spend 10 or 12 weeks working for firms in various industries. Placements differ depending on current demand but past placements have included:

In this rigorous field study, you will travel with a small group of your peers and University faculty and staff to London, England, during the first two weeks of May, where you will access resources unavailable online or in the United States to enrich your independent spring and summer term-long research. Participants enroll for 1—3 credits of directed research in the spring term, during which time they conduct faculty-mentored research on a project of their own design.
Interested in global health, nursing, midwifery, and medical practice? Learn how the history in these areas have influenced the development of nursing functions and examine how ethics, sociology, religion, law, economics, and philosophy have affected clinical practice and the impact these have had on the role of nurses and other medical practicioners.
This four-week, accelerated summer program provides students with the opportunity to study human rights and focus on the specific area of wrongful conviction. This program is composed of two courses and includes opportunities to observe trials and visit London-based organizations working in human rights and on behalf of the wrongfully accused.
