Study and live in the Eternal City of Rome, Italy. Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Italian conversations while discovering the rich Italian way of life, la dolce vita. This six-week, 7-credit program is designed for students for Italian Majors and Minors interested in Italian Language, Culture and Modern Italy. Students will take two advanced language courses based on their prior level of Italian language and a one-credit history and culture course.

IES Siena: Spend Fall or Spring in the breathtaking Tuscan countryside; no Italian study required prior to program. Explore historical and contemporary Tuscan culture in the classroom and the city. Come to the Eternal City and study either Language and Area Studies or choose a 12-week Tourism and Cultural Heritage Management track. A full-time resident staff will help you to make Rome both your classroom and your home. Take Italian language appropriate to your level; most content courses in both tracks taught in English by local faculty. Engage with locals within Rome and while participating in extracurricular and course-related excursions in such destinations as Tuscany, the Amalfi coast, Assisi, and more. Students of Archeology and Classics will find this program to be a great fit.
IES Milan: Fall, Spring and a Summer Internship option are offered in this 2,000 year old city steeped in culture and history. Track are Business Studies, Italy Today or Music: Tradition and Innovation. Students may enroll at a local partner university with help from IES staff or take classes at the IES Study Center. Content courses are taught in English. Excursions exploring Italy are included. Housing is homestay or shared apartments.
